The film is available to watch online.

But does it have English subtitles in the movie online?

reply

Yes.

Sadly the subs are VERY, VERY bad. The meaning (in English) is frequently lost (although obvious by context) by very poor literal translation. There is no 'beauty' to the subtitles at any point.

True, one can easily follow the story, but I wish those responsible for sub-titles could pass on their work to a literate NATIVE English speaker for an 'improving' pass.

I have just watched a DVD of this film and the sub-titles were very good, I have no fault with them. I enjoyed the movie, but unlike the Comment from one viewer I did not see this film as a comedy nor did I find "The Count' hilarious. I found the atmosphere just right and Skarsgard and Ganz played great parts.

Netflix has it with english subs, and you have the choice of listening in English or Norwegian

The most important thing is sincerity. If you can fake that you've got it made.

"bad" maybe, but i've viewed worse. My biggest complaint is the lack of subtitles during the 'Danish rant' @ 1:25:39... such a beautifully vowel-rich language should never go un-translated. Anyone know what she was on about?
