So let me get this right.....

This movie was about the rights of individuals to decide what is best for them, rather than having some obtuse government telling you what you must do.

It's also a message to all you "do-gooders" who think that no matter how much pain you're in, it's better for you to live than to end the pain. They would have no trouble, though, putting a "dumb animal" out of its misery.
