Really confused by this essential part (Spoilers, obviously)

Okay so, the Dr. is in possession of the Mr. B photo that shows the coil painting and the blood on the window.
She says it was postmarked more than a week ago, but
Confusion #1 - wasn't Mr. B dead for at the very least a few days at this time? Who posted it?
Secondly, and more importantly, if Mr. B or really anyone had posted it and she received it
Confusion #2 - how exactly is she in possession of a photo that was taken much later? The camera only takes pictures at 8am and 8pm, one day in advance. This picture was obviously taken much earlier than that. So ?????????

She actually said that he did pictures further in advance, but neither the main characters nor she understood the mechanics of the machine enough to change the current setting of 2 pictures a day 24 hours in advance

I believe it was Callie herself that posted it. Along with tending to the flowers, newspapers, etc. it was her idea to post his unsent mail to keep up the illusion he was still alive. From what I gathered, it wasn't hinted that she read what was inside the letters but just posted what were probably already sealed envelopes.
