So awful! *Spoilers*

I kept waiting for something positive, but no.... anything remotely positive turned out to be a lie! I can't believe John was playing her! Telling her lies because 'women like to hear that sort of thing and will open their legs' Truly awful! I really thought for a moment that he was truly swept up in passion, but really it was just lust. He had no concern for Kathleen, or Julie for that matter. True, Julie was playing a dangerous game, but even so he took advantage of her loneliness. He wove fantastic stories to entice her and then he's like, ok I'm done! They were both damaged, and crazed people. But it just drives me crazy that he wins. He gets to keep his placement and she dies broken and pitiful.

The play was written in 1888. It's a classic. The world ought to be familiar with it by now.

It's not a daytime soap opera.
