shareI live in Portland, OR and we're the only big city along the string of four (SF, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) without shockingly high average house prices. You can pay 500k+ for a house that would cost you 100k average elsewhere.
sharePlease Google "cost of living", "minimum wage", "median income" and "supply and demand" and then come back and talk. You need to understand how real estate prices vary from place to place.
shareVancouver is one of the most expensive cites to live in Canada. (I'm pretty sure it's up there with LA & NY as well) Like someone said, a house that would cost you a couple $100,000 in another city in Canada would cost you double that in Vancouver.
