So what part of this show is real.

Both "hosts" are actors. At least David in the original appears to be an actual realtor in real life.

I recognized Todd from a pathetically over-the-top teen "soap opera" called Fifteen. It was on Nickelodeon in the 90's. Basically, no one ever smiled, what with all the constant "drama". Still, it was a hoot. Ryan Reynolds was on it, too. Oh, and the drama was NOT played for laughs. It was meant to be dead serious. Ugh!

To be fair, Hilary is actually an actress as well...just check her IMDB page.

That's true.

Hilary is great though. I love her.

To be more fair, I would call Hilary a former actress. Her last acting credit was more than 30 years ago. Also, she was a designer before she took up acting.

I have only watched 14 minutes of this show and am going to delete it as soon as I finish posting. If I don't throw "The Thinker " sculptor through the flat screen first. Seriously?! We were supposed to believe this is not scripted TV? Will never DVR this series again. The other Realtor and Designer are much better. Todd remind me of Pee wee Herman.

I guess being on The Bachelor and Bachelorette [sp?] series sure helped her tv career.

Hilary is indeed a real designer.

Initially interested in pursuing theater, her first dabbling with interior design came from helping her mother hunt down unexpected pieces of art and other accessories to decorate her childhood home. She landed part-time jobs in Los Angeles, when she first started renovating homes as well as various film and television show sets. Farr previously bought various properties and renovated them. Farr has designed properties in various countries throughout the world, including Australia and United Kingdom, as well as California and New York in the United States. Farr also has renovated homes for notable celebrities, including Jenna Elfman's home and Jennifer Hudson's loft in Chicago. She serves as president of Hilary Farr's Designs, established in Toronto and in New York. You can check out her design site by going to hilaryfarrdesign.com

Acting under the name Hilary Labow (her maiden name), Farr has indeed made small appearances in movies such as Layout for 5 Models (1972), Sex Farm (1973), Never Mind the Quality, Feel the Width (1973), Legend of the Werewolf (1975), The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975), City on Fire (1979) and The Return (1980). As of late, she chooses to pursue her true passion: design.

Jillian Harris is indeed a real designer.

She used to work at Caban interior goods store, which led her into interior décor. She formalized her interior credentials with a 2006 certificate from BCIT in interior design. She runs her own brand of interior décor goods and on 8 July 2013, she launched her e-vintage webstore, Charlie Ford Vintage.

Likewise, Talbot is a real realtor.

Talbot's a realtor with Re Max Master and co-owner of myRealDESIGN custom Real Estate marketing strategies for agents, developers, and home owners. Like Hillary Farr, he shares an interest in stage and screen. As a teenager, Talbot got hooked on performing and became a professional actor on TV with a starring role on the hit TV series, Fifteen on Nickelodeon. Later, in his 20s, he completed his theatre training in England and from there, went on to build an award-winning stage career across Canada that has spanned more than 20 years. In those early days, Talbot entertained audiences at the theatre by night and soaked up everything about the world of real estate by day. His obsession grew as he methodically built his own portfolio of investing, buying, selling, renting, and renovating multiple properties.
