It must've been really hard in William Hartnell when Verity Lambert left. I don't understand why she would just leave the show and William Hartnell like that when his wife just told her that William Hartnell is struggling.

Anyway, the movie was great and so moving. I think Mark Gattiss should take over Doctor Who after Moffat.

It's sad that by the end of his time on the show that his original Producer was gone, as well as all his first companions.

But it's been common throughout the show for almost all the Producers and companions to move on after a few years, so it was a practice that was not unusual.
