Clarke Still Reeling from Lexas death

Eliza Taylor, the actress who plays Clarke in "The 100", revealed that a romantic relationship might happen to her character down the line. However, she does not see it happening in the upcoming Season 4 as a relationship will be the least of Clarke's concerns.

Taylor is adamant in not wanting her character to fall in love again anytime soon. What Clarke had with Lexa was special, so special that Clarke will still be reeling from her loss.

n an interview, Taylor said that it will take a long time for Clarke to grieve and move forward. The actress wants to give her TV persona time to allow her those. Taylor added that given what Clarke has just been through last season, there might not be a possibility for her of falling in love sometime soon.

I've also seen that E.T. Isn't interested in a Bellamy/Clarke romance, at all. I would agree- she stated they work better as a team rather than as romantic partners. That's fine with me- you don't always need a romance to make a character deep and interesting. Clarke is awesome with or without a love interest.

Funny, I thought the same thing about Clarke and Lexa. Not romance was needed to further the partnership.

Yeah that Lexa crap was very unnecessary.

Yeah, that's why you should ask them before you knock them out, John.

You can say that about every single character in every single TV show. Sometimes writers like to add romance to their shows. It's really not that big of a deal. If you don't like it you can just tune it out or watch something else. Keep in mind The 100 is a show about teenagers. There will be drama, love interests and couples. (Not to mention this is on the CW. lol) 😳

Yes, I'm a Clexa fan. *Puts on sunglasses* Deal with it. 😎 (sorry, couldn't help it)

Yah- the same sentiment could be repeated about any romantic relationship in any movie. Why'd they have to make Trinity and Neo get together in the Matrix? Meh- because relationships, love, sex happens in life. Some people didn't care for Lexa or that storyline and some did... to each their own. Me, personally- I found Lexa to be a strong character and I was immediately drawn to her, much like Ingravitated towards Octavia when she became badass. I liked Clarke and Lexa as "teammates" and as lovers. But that's just my personal opinion- not everyone needs to agree with it- I don't mind.

My sentiments exactly, Cosima. Love exists, and it happens to every one of us. And sometimes love gravitates us towards those of the same sex. This is life. Nothing wrong with adding it to television shows or movies or anything else. It's normal.

If you can't deal with watching two girls or two men kiss, OK, that's fine. Luckily for you, there are hundreds of thousands of TV shows out there without that sort of thing.

Lexa is coming back in season 5 that's why she said that, I read somewhere that Lexa is coming back to season 5 because they're gonna make some sort of tech that will bring back dead people. ADC the actress that played Lexa also stated there was some talk about comig back but that it's not something that can happen in season 4, because she's still filming the Fear The Walking Dead. AMC confirmed that they are down to negotiate with the CW to use ADC on loan while not filming Fear. Sooo...basically something's cooking but we don't know what. Bare in mind that these people talking about this predicted Lincoln's death, as well as Lexa's death and a lot od other things for the last seasons.

They might have been right about Lincoln and Lexa dying but that doesn't mean they're going to be right about Lexa coming back. As much as I would love Lexa to return, until the writer says anything himself on the subject, I will not be getting my hopes up. I suggest you do the same. 😞

Some kind of Lazarus Pit? Oh God forbid! The CW might be "The DC" with all the comic book stuff (which I also like btw), but The 100 isn't that kind of show, never was, and hopefully never will be.

I get where Eliza's coming from, but it wouldn't be the first time they made her fall in love right after her previous love was killed! She loved Finn, and they didn't give her character time to grieve at all, she moved onto Lexa almost immediately.

Eliza really liked Clarke and Lexa's relationship, so it makes sense she wouldn't want her character to fall for anyone else (she's a bit of a shipper that way!), but since she doesn't write the show it's really just her opinion and personal preference.

reply

I agree. Her relationship with Lexa is a bit different since Clarke and Finn were separated for a while before he died, but I'm pretty sure they were saying mostly the same things at the cons last year...That he was the love of her life and she wouldn't be able to move on for a really long time.

That's just how this stuff works, you promote the current couple and mourn the loss to appease the fans. (And honestly, if Eliza did say anything against clexa she'd probably get attacked on twitter so I don't think she really has any other option here) So it wouldn't surprise me if Clarke moved on with someone else at the end of the season. No one has time to mourn on this show, I think one and a half seasons is more than enough.

Finn was puppy love and she found out he lied to her about Raven. Not to mention it turned out he wasn't anything that he portrayed himself to be. They were already broken up before Lexa entered the picture and she didn't "move on quickly" from Finn. She told Lexa she needed time and that it was too soon after her killing Finn for her to start anything new. She spent months moping about him. So I'm not sure where you are coming from with your comment. Eliza said she loved working with Alicia and that they became really close friends, so that's also probably one of the reasons she's a Clexa "shipper."

reply

Well, it will only make sense for her character to not fall in love in season 4 as the events are connected with no time gap which means she had just lost the girl she loved deeply and that the Earth is going to be destroyed in 6 months.
