It's amazing that by 2016 there isn't a dedicated person on every sci fi set to correct the beautiful but stupid actors that are supposed to be playing brilliant scientists. It's just embarrassing to hear.

It reminds me of that SNL sketch where Alec Baldwin plays a soap opera doctor who continually mispronounces cancer like "canker".

Of course this *beep* falls on its ass all the time with its science anyway so I guess its just a drop in the bucket to have a genius, space-dwelling AI engineer who somehow never learned how to pronounce this word.

Completely agree with you. Someone should correct these mispronunciations as they make the show look very cheesy.

I agree wholeheartedly. It's hard to get into a scene or a show when something is mispronounced. It's like when watching a TV show or movie and they don't know the anatomy of a firearm and they keep calling a magazine a clip. Or when someone cocks a rifle or handgun several times.

Little things (even though these are big to me) will totally ruin a show for me...and most of us.
