Why is everyone so stupid in Season 3?

I'm too tired to write a long post so just a few points for now...

-How can someone caught committing treason (Pike) be eligible to be on the ballot for Chancellor? The writers officially made Abby and Kane very stupid characters for letting Pike even come close to being a contender.

-How long does everyone enable Jasper's behavior? He's awfully emo and it was tiresome in episode 1. I'm on episode 5 now.

-Are the people of Arcadia such mindless sheep, such incomprehensible retards that they would vote for a guy knowing he's going to slaughter people they've finally made peace with? Also, they may have all the guns, but they lose in sheer numbers.

-Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

I've been binging this but when I got to season 3 and saw that it turned into garbage I needed to come and post something.

Refer to the great US of A. It's clearly possible in real life.

I'm not american, but I'm glad Trump was elected. Hillary was there to ensure WW3. With trump, there may still be war, but at least it's not a guarantee.

So essentially, in US of A, people voted for Kane, not Pyke. You just don't understand that.

I know right!
Everyone making stupids decisions, inconsistencies everywhere....season 3 was filled with them..
Episode 5? Don't bother, it's even worse after that (if this was possible...)..
(Like seriously, Kane just had to warn Indra, they were in contact) but yeah the massacre "HAD" to happen within this poor lazy writing...

ohh god, buckle up : the garbage of season 3 is just starting ! ....

reply

Bellamy was so frustrating.

I didn't really watch the whole season but just read recaps

reply

Yess he was, with his dumb decisions. You did not watch it, so you're a bit spared, cause you would have been more than "frustrated"! 😠😫😡
And unfortunately, still making stupid ones in s4....and everyone keep letting him make calls even if he screwed everything up in last season... seriously....

reply

Which mistake has he made this season so far? Choosing to save 25 innocent people because he doesn't believe in "the few for the many" which the privileged characters on the show subscribe to?

reply

I'll explain it : humanity is on the verge of TOTAL extinction, and they needed the generator to maximise the number of lives saved. Monty himself said there was NO WAY to replace that hydro generator if they blew it up. They do not have that technology everywhere, listen to the dialogues !

The slaves were just being moved, NOT killed : they survived months, so all they had to do was to wait a bit longer and resolving it in a better way than JUST blew the things up!!They could still come back, find this Ice Nation group again and save their people. Or contact Roan for help, and let him handle the situation.
Destroying their chance to LIVE!! Condemning hundred of lives !!

Seriously, was pathetic idea, he just have to stop making calls (all he has done is making the worst decisions).

How's season 4 so far? Should I watch it?

reply

I don't know, Bellamy's actions and decisions in s4 still piss me off....while Octavia is more interesting, along with Raven.

But the plot of this season is kinda boring, and the writers try to develop what they should have developped in season 3, but now it's too late, and everything feel so forced and inconsistent. Some of them should have react like that in season 3 to be realist, and they add some convenient events just to push their storyline....
Their lack of creativity is being shown I think. It's just foolish actions and foolish people appearing just to screw everything up.

So, if you have better tv show to watch, ...or you can still try the first two episodes and decide

The hydro-generator was always just a hypothetical solution to the problem. They promised Roan they'd be saving his people too. Do you really think the Arkadians will get away with trying to save their own asses only? The moment Echo discovers what they're doing, *beep* is gonna hit the fan.

And it was literally four people spending a few days brainstorming. Raven specifically wants to tell the Grounders the truth because there might be more bunkers out there. They're not even close to exhausting their options.

Come back where? Like you said, they were being moved and seeing as the Grounders had no idea of what had transpired these past several months because they'd stayed at the exact same spot and that they had no love for Roan, they were likely planning on further secluding themselves.

Bellamy had a choice. He could either save 25 people at that moment and possibly save 500 people later, or he could leave them to die/suffer till their deaths and possibly save 500 people later.

I think it's interesting that one of the biggest lessons last season was Becca telling A.L.I.E. that: "The goal isn't everything. How you reach the goal matters" and yet most of the characters seem to following right in A.L.I.E.'s footsteeps.

You're funny. Do you really think that the Arkadians will get away blowing up and azgeda site, killing them, without any backlash ?
By the way the hydro-generator was a solution to save hundred of people, REGARDLESS of who they are, arkadians or grounders. Meaning the decision to take tha machine was the best option for them at the moment.
You do know that in this apocalyptic scenario, water will be an issue, and that no one can survive without water after 3 days..

And it was literally four people spending a few days brainstorming. Raven specifically wants to tell the Grounders the truth because there might be more bunkers out there. They're not even close to exhausting their options.

Remember Monty said that they don't have that technology anywhere else?

A LEADER is supposed to make decisions based on information he has, on facts, NOT on a "what if". No one would ever think of ohh maybe there is some kind of bunkers appearing from nowhere (from the new scripts) and we should bet lives of hundred of people, and civilization on that !

Meaning that they lost a way to save hundred of people.
They were being moved, meaning, ALL they had to do, is letting a spotter behing, a scout to keep track on wherever they were supposed to go afterwards. Yeah it's simple as that. Just common sense.
But instead they choose to rescue 25 people whose lives were not at immediate risk, and screw things up for hundred of people. And of course, they won't tell that to them, conveniently. Hey guys we found 25 people but you know what, just hundred of you will survive !! You're welcome.

Bellamy had a choice. He could either save 25 people at that moment and possibly save 500 people later, or he could leave them to die/suffer till their deaths and possibly save 500 people later.

500 people? Saving "500" later, with what ? Just by praying hard enough for the writers to ADD some illogical solution ?

The goal isn't everything. How you reach the goal matters

Yeah; tell that to B who slaughtered 300 people, and kill so many grounders, and now feeling sorry, and guilty....what a moron

reply

As opposed to being stupid in every other season??

reply

Actually guns beat numbers. Look at the British in Africa and their guns weren't nearly as good. Although they did have artillery. A couple hundred with guns can easily kill thousands without in a single battle.
