Jasper is not funny

I'm sorry but he just is not funny at all and I'm not sure why are the writers are pushing his character to be witty and stuff but he is just too much.

He's always sucked. Should have died in the first episode with a spear through him

reply

I agree. I never liked him to start with, but this season- he's awful so far. Every time he's on the screen, I just grumble inside. I can't stand him.

He's not supposed to be funny. Not even written that way. If you look closely you can see that he's written as someone who still suffers massively from PTSD. Which will kill him in the end.

They could have written him out before, but they need him as a counterpart to those characters who actively try to actually survive the upcoming threat.

Wasn't Finn that character who was War traumatized and that lead to his death

reply

I think everyone is traumatized by the events they all went through. And everyone is dealing with it differently. For some of them, like we see with Finn and Jasper as examples in the show, this traumatic experiences spiralled into PTSD.

For the most part it's a question of mental strength. Finn didn't last long before he snapped. It only needed Clarke's watch as a trigger. On the contrary, to show different forms of PTSD, for Jasper it happens slowly, more subtle.

And I think you should also take their age into consideration. Jasper was 15 when they landed, is now probably 16. Finn was 17, and he was most probably also 17 when he died not even one and a half months after their landing.

That's one way to say it

He was only suppose to be funny in the 1st episode and flashbacks. He was nothing more than a stoner slacker guy. When he blew up the bridge he went downhill.

reply

Well hopefully in following episode he will pull his head out of his ass.

reply

Not going to happen he'll be actively sabotaging all attempts at fixing the station and under minding Clarke.

IMDB the only site that sabotages it's own forum by deleting content. No wonder no ones here.

I disagree. In season 3, after Pyke was taken out, when Alie storyline was in full swing, he was priceless. Everything he said to Clarke was brilliant.

Yea, he's basically the in camp villain this season.

The drunk worker that likes to destroy establishment.

I got a little smile when he was singing in the shower, but then when I realized he was just being destructive, I got the vibe we were supposed to feel.

We aren't supposed to like what he's doing.
The grin he gives Clarke, he's set out the make everyone feel as horrible as he feels.

reply

He makes my skin crawl.

reply

I agree, he is a anvil of garbage that drags the show down.
