Octavia surviving the fall

CW has done it again, first Oliver queen and now Octavia. i was fairly OK with olivers fall on soft snow, but falling on water from at least 400+ feet. thats insane, its like hitting a concrete surface. which should shatter just about every bone you have in your body. Even if she had survived she should have lost a leg or two.
maybe its because, she is a alien. by that i mean she wasn't born on earth

1.) A fall from 30 feet will result in a velocity of roughly 44 ft/s = 30 mph.
2.) A fall from 100 feet will result in a velocity of roughly 80 ft/s = 54 mph.
3.) A fall from 150 feet will result in a velocity of roughly 97 ft/s = 66 mph.
4.) A fall from 250 feet will result in a velocity of roughly 125 ft/s = 85 mph.
