I hope most of the Trek fans will support this film when its released on BD/DVD as it was my personal favorite since First Contact, and imo the best since then.

Paramount has obviously learned from that massive criticism they got, for only having that 1 disc release of Into Darkness, where they later tried to lure people to buy that Star Trek The Compendium box set, if they wanted to get a disc 2 with lots of extras for the movie.

Do think it is a combo only, after i have done a few investigations my self.
On the EU market, i can't find any announced release where you get an actual extra material disc.
The only one they are very cryptic about is the steelbook, which also is a 2-disc release.
Here they don't mention anything about what that second disc might be.
There will probably be a complete overview of the content on each disc before the film's video release, but I don't think they've revealed that info. yet. Fingers crossed they don't do something stupid like the Into Darkness release.
I would have, but since Paramount are releasing multiple editions and double and treble dipping like they did with STID, as well as only putting the commentary on I-tunes, I'll just wait until they do another compendium release in a couple of years time as another cynical cashgrab.
