What's the point of this? To show another kind of addiction?
shareThey were hiding her real life pregnancy. Without making her pregnant on the show, or to only show her from the mid up hiding her behind couches and keeping her dressed in overcoats all the time as other shows have done.

Gosh, everyone has great timing on Mom, don't they? Excellent cast all around. She was really good on My Name is Earl, too.
I agree about the fat suit becoming the joke. I don't think that was the intention, though. I think they genuinely thought they'd address how eating can be an addiction to an addictive personality. I don't buy, though, that the character gained so much weight so quickly.
Yes it's a very good ensemble cast of pros and they have good timing. But she really stands out.
