This show would have been a much bigger hit on Lifetime

I think this is decent watered down cop entertainment and I love the cast. But I think they made a mistake of the network to host this show. Knowing the stuff my mom loves, this would have been a major hit on Lifetime. She would have called this her favorite show. But ABC needs to compete much harder than Lifetime. This cast could get the job done but the storyline and writing just doesn't cut it in this new world of Scandal, Breaking Bad, etc.

Even TNT. Can you imagine this primiring before Rizzoly and Isles?

It would have had at minimum 13 eps to establish itself. Pretty much only the 'big 4' will kill a show before most of the real potential audience has had a chance to become aware of it.

I don't know Against the Wall and the Protector did not do so well on Lifetime.

Generally they produce Soap Operas. These shows are occasionally condescending. On a rare exception critical darling like Scandal is produced. Broadcast TV as a whole produces mediocrity for the lowest common denominator. Thus its creatively in Limbo while cable moves into its second Renaissance.

Definitely would have been better it was on TNT instead. I really liked this show. It got better after the pilot imo. Ashamed it ended with a cliffhanger. I'm sure it would have done well on TNT. Shows like The Closer, Major Crimes and Rizzoli & Isles are great on TNT.
