What I think hurt the show

A couple of things come to mind. It was not a good title for the show and the stories were limited about only women criminals. They should have had story lines about all types criminals, men and women baddies, and could have done so much more with the show.

That being said, I thought Tricia Helfer and the rest of the cast did a pretty good acting job.

This is not the first show in which an actress played a Texas Ranger. Nia Peoples played one in Walker, Texas Ranger several years ago.

I agree about the title. It limits the mystery because the guilty party will ALWAYS be female. The connecting subplots were also weak. Too many dysfunctional characters. Worst, from a dramatic aspect, it is very hard to accept a victim of domestic abuse as a strong lead, even though this happens in real life. For example, both George Washington and Douglas MacArthur were terrified of their mothers.

On a personal note, I really feel Texans need to get over themselves. Criticizing the show because the lead character, who plays a Texas Ranger is ridiculous. I don't recall the same criticism of Chuck Norris for "Walker, Texas Ranger" and Norris is from OKLAHOMA.

As for the complaint that "Helfer can't act," that is ABSOLUTELY untrue. Tricia Helfer's careful delineations of the various duplicates of "Number Six" was the most skillful acting presented in "Battlestar Galactica (2003)".
