Premiere Episode and I'm Actually Kind of Into It

Stumbled across the series premiere tonight while channel surfing. Pleasantly surprised as this show came out of left field for me; I don't watch ABC that often so I must of missed the promos. The show is kind of a throwback to "The Bad News Bears", with maybe a little nod to "Trouble With the Curve". James Caan was believable and Maggie Lawson very appealing. I'll tune in next week.

I surprised myself as well. Based on the previews, I did not expect to find this so amusing. I'll be back for more.

I'm with you. I really liked this show and hope it can get a following. Unfortunately, with todays politically correct crowd, this will probably get a season at most. You can already see some of the comments on this board. People need to lighten up and just laugh; make fun of themselves.
Anyway, I hope this show gets a few seasons.

I liked the premiere, but I didn't love. James Caan is one of my favorite actors and I like Maggie Lawson from Psych. I wasn't crazy about the kids on the team. I do understand that this team is supposed to be outcasts and all, but there a a zillion shows with crude humor and it's okay. Caan is very good as a crotchety old coot. It is on my DVR record list so I will watch as long as it is on.

I love it. Its funny and on the edge. Finally, ABC step their game up. It needs to be on for at least 5 seasons. I hope the player haters go somewhere and lay down and rest their necks. Lol

Solid writing....Maggie Lawson is funny and likable....

And James Caan kills it.

Some of the players on the team seem a little "cliche"...but that's to be expected I guess.

The only other thing is that a part of me kinda wishes this were on Showtime or HBO....like a less vulgar & crazy "Eastbound & Down" meets "Bad News Bears".

My bf and I also stumbled onto this show (while waiting for Modern Family to come on). The pilot was hilarious, the acting and delivery is definitely there. The episode was cleverly written. Maggie Lawson has legs for days, but I digress. I will definitely watch next week's episode!
