OMG, ABC killed another show with promise

This show had a good premise, reasonable, realistic characters facing real world concerns in what might actually be a "real" situation. I Love that it depicts todays" family with blended roles and margins smudging and acknowledging the growing numbers of grandparents in a parental co-parent role with their grown children and grandchildren. Sad to see it go.

I've only seen the first 3 episodes and have the rest recorded, but unless certain aspects changed I can see how the show was cancelled. It has a nasty, off-putting aspect to it. The endings are sentimental and jokes in isolation are amazing, but, off-putting leads to cancellation. I'll watch the rest and see what happens. Maggie Lawson is great and the young actor playing her son is also very good.

It's ABC, what do you want?

They had a number of good sit-coms, but also a number of duds.
Goldberg's seems to be doing okay, yet teetering at only a slim chance at a 2nd season, same with Trophy Wife.

You got the awful Super Fun Night which thankfully has finished its run, but then the boring Subgatory which I could never get into and the new Mixology which I couldn't find an ounce of funny in.

They couldn't get one sit-com to come close to matching the ratings of Modern Family, but The Middle does okay on its own at 8pm. The funny thing is just how "Back in the Game" was actually getting BETTER ratings than the two other shows that have followed it since it was cancelled!

Go figure?!
