Its clear the showrunners didn't care that they got a final season

Ughh...This should have been a 2 hour tv movie rather than a 10 episode season. About 85% of it was filler, 15% poorly planned plot. It was predictable and the final scene with Fetts voiceover was cringe worthy. Zach setting off the second nuke was an appropriate and poetic penance for what he did last season, but it felt like everything was just a big setup for that. It would've been nice if they at least tried to subvert some of our expectations. It would've been nice if there had been some satisfying explanation for where the remaining 3 ancients were or even got to see them either in the present or via flashback. I'd have preferred Quinlan got out alive or had a different end. I could go on but I won't. Watching this season was was like a laborious obligation.

Anyway, IMO, this show went out like a poor bitch.

at least Zach died

reply

Yes, silver lining. Too bad it was a painless death.

For a second there I thought Eph was going to somehow sacrifice himself for Zach and save him. At least that shit didn't happen.

Quinlan died? i thought he was just snoozing for a spell

reply

Yep. I don't think they planned on this final season at all. Filler is the word alright. I was hoping Fet was gonna get both babes in the end. That would have been terrific.

reply

Agreed. It was a very weak season. I thought it was only me hating this season, but it turns out I'm noy alone.

I loved it.
Setting the new season after 'munchers takeover' brought a new fresh wind into the whole thing and i very much enjoyed it.
Guess my most favorite season.
