It really lacked the beautiful cinematography of the first one. The vivid colors was what made the first film stand out from the rest of the martial arts films at the time.

The director isn't the same person so...
The storyline doesn't give wow factor and the martial arts part is fluent with different approach. Overall, isn't as good as the first one but still decent.
I know it's not the same director but the most breakthrough thing about the first movie was how beautiful everything looked. It should've been continued into the 2nd film but wasn't.
