I only say that because in the original movie Michelle character tells a story about how she was engaged to a guy named Meng Si Zhao. He was also like a brother to Chow yun Fat's character. So I say it'll be emotional.

It is confirmed to be a sequel, taking place 20 years after the 1st movie. I am a big fan of Michelle Yeoh and even I think she would be too old to be playing someone younger than herself from the 1st movie.
shareWow if its true that the book takes place 20 years after the events of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon that's awesome. CTHD is 15 years old as of this year and therefore most people that were in both movies are of proper ages for the sequel.

Uh no, it's not a prequel at all. It's like 15 years in the future. It's plain and simply not a good movie.
