Gun 'control' -- flawed again

Another telling example of why it don't work, and the solution, of course, is the guy that 'saves the day' by ignoring it.

"When guns are outlawed, only outlaws have guns."

What do you mean by "it don't work"?

derfball, you are so correct! not only did Greider ignore the local gun control law, he outgunned them. i highly doubt these alpine killers ever saw a western U.S. Winchester and certainly didn't understand it held 17 bullets. as witnessed, a few shotguns and a single shot rifle at medium range is no match against a Winchester in the hands of a determined killer.

i really enjoyed the way Greider used the dying body of one of his victims as cover. that was brilliant! lock and load!

We deal in lead, friend.

Yes, quite a brilliant scene. Reminded me of Full Metal Jacket where the sniper purposely wounds with a leg shot. Then waits for the other to respond and try to rescue, popping them off one by one. Probably in the top five gun battle scenes of any films period.

Gun control laws are just meant to make it harder for crazy people to get a gun, just wanted to point that out.

In my country you can get a gun. But first you need a psychological evaluation and you can't have a history with the police.

Results: people that want and need a gun can get one, crazy people can't.

I don't know if it was just the character, or the scripwriter, too, but you can hear the gun control mindset when Luzi tells Greider that only the Brenners are allowed guns, and asks him, "What do you need it for?" The proper answer is, of course, "What do the Brenners need theirs for?"

I can't stop laughing at this--grabbing at straws much? Modern proponents of gun control aren't insisting that THEY get to keep their guns while everyone else has to give them up. This movie plot line in which a local tyrant is the only one with a gun isn't remotely a metaphor or expression of today's gun control stance!
