I've long known about the "other side" of Ramsay. Watch Ramsay's "Boiling Point" and "Beyond Boiling Point" If you like this Ramsay and want more. He's actually got quite a kind and thoughtfull side to him as well as a few insecurities. Seems like a pretty normal guy when you learn more about him. Ramsay's "Great Escape" is a wonderful series where he travels the world learning cooking techniques in many locals. The amount of respect he shows other chefs may suprise some. As to this prison show, I am enjoying it but I'm a bit suprised and disappionted that he didn't find better candidates for his new program. I would've thought he'd have 1 or 2 hidden gems right off the bat. I can't help but think that I'd jump at the chance to bust my ass and learn a few things with Gordon Ramsay for 10 hours a day verses sitting in my cell for 21 hours a day but that may just be me AND... I do realize that many of these guys are behind bars because they don't have much foresight. They don't plan for the future and only live in the now. I must admit to experiencing some sadness in watching this show. There just seems to be a bit of futility in what Ramsay is attempting here.
Wherever you go, there you are.
