Enjoyable and witty

It's so interesting to see the many and varied choices employed over the course of 24 hours of radio.

Some favourite bits:

The man found cut in two was killed by a bullet in the back. A funny reporting line from a fascinating woman (was she Marie-Claude?) wearing a beautiful necklace.

The man peeling potatoes during his minute of solitude.

The man discussing the images of tsunami and his choice of the Japanese word gaman, the ability to endure the unbearable with dignity, to sum up his response to what he's seen.

Antonio Placer: His wonderful chanting that sounds other worldly. I was mesmerised by the way he was Man filmed that allowed us to appreciate his spittle! Ordinarily this would disgust me but it was mesmerising.

The female singer/accordionist Maia Vidal performing "The Alphabet of My Phobias”.

Umberto Eco on injecting biography into his writing including a character who murders his grandmother! Funny.

The team meeting where they discuss including Justin Bieber in their programming.

Also loved the scene with Tata Milouda.

A bird sings and the mountain's silence deepens.
