Two theories obviously spoilers

This story has 2 theories going the first is the parallel universe that every physicist in the world is trying to prove and the other is the theory of ascension, do you wonder if we survive as specie how are we going to look after 10 thousand years? They advanced their civilization to a point they do not need a body. That doesn't mean they are aliens, it means the developed a lot more than humans did

i think a mix of both. I am not sure

every physicist in the world is trying to prove

that there are parallel universes..especially right next to us. Most of the multiverse theories i have read of mention them not being folded into ours (except maybe the many worlds theory).

But the parallel universe idea does match with the writings of Jacques Valee. He was one of the few UFO researches that believed they were from a parallel universe rather than outerspace. Plus Vallee speaks about myths and legends throughout civilization where there is a higher race living with us but often in hiding or invisible. And often they do
abduct a child or may have a human/higher being offspring. They are not immortals but are at a higher level than humans. I think this is what the film could be speaking about.
