I remember that one. I think this is likely a better film by far... though I haven't seen Powder in a zillion years.

Why? I came into this game for the action, the excitement... Listen, kid, we're all in it together.

It's a combination of Powder and King's Firestarter. Not exactly original but what is these days?

Yes, I thought of powder and firestarter as well. I liked this movie okay.. despite the major flaws. But I reckon I liked the prior 2 better, at least back in the 80s and 90s.

I was thinking "Powder" also. I didn't love that film, but it was much more cohesive than this.

I was thinking Powder when I saw this as well. And like Powder, neither film really did anything for me. they're alright but not like great.

I COULD SEE THAT...I SAW POWDER IN THEATER AND THUS HAVE STRONG MEMORIES OR THAT FILM...I LIKEDMIDNIGHT SPECIAL,BUT HAVE ONLY SEEN IT ONCE..I HAVE IT IN MY REWATCH PILE CURRENTLY.
