I think its telling

that the winner of the first season was Rory, who is an Olympic skier, and the winner of the first season in the British version was also an Olympic skier.

Based off the final dives, he had to win but like many of you, I don't think he should have really been in the final to begin with because he had only done one real dive before that final one. Even Louie had more than that I believe.

It is like having a UFC champion doing celebrity boxing. Who will win? Tom Cruise? Naomi Watts? Or Tito Ortiz?

While I absolutely agree that Rory had a huge--and unfair--edge over the other competitors, based purely on his dives he deserved to win.

He only "dove" twice though. A dive is technically defined as as the act of intentionally going into water head first. With the exception of his last one and the one earlier in the season that he dedicated to his deceased wife, every other "dive" was feet first. The rest of the cast was regularly performing dives head first. And yes, I am aware that with his injury, it wasn't safe for him to go in head first but if that is the case, he should have taken himself out of the competition.

I disagree. When Rory first started diving and burst his eardrum he had no control and kept on landing on his ear. He didn't want to quit so he started doing more complicated dives feet first and gained more control. When he felt he could risk going in head first he did and kept his body in control feet or head first. Very different from Drake who talked a lot of talk but couldn't really deliver. Sure it helped that he was an Olympic skier but he didn't start the way he ended and I am glad he won.
