Was such a promising show

I fell in love with the first episode and followed this series. The writers botched what could've been a great story. I don't understand why though, they had good characters/actors to work with. So dissapointed! Anyone else upset?

I must admit that I loved the first series, but I was disappointed by the second one - it just seemed to lose its way and ramble all over the place.

Me. I really saw great promise from its first season, but it just fell apart after that. Too bad.

Heck, it's been months, and I'm still upset!! This was my favorite show in its first season, and I stuck with it all the way to the end, but yeah, they ruined it in s.2!

Instead of getting into all that romance and family-drama BS, the writers should have focused way, way more on the supernatural elements of the show and questions of the afterlife.

In season 1, this show was gearing up to be one of the most inspirational, mind-blowing shows broadcast TV had ever seen (and it's not often that a show is both inspirational and exciting---but this one was)! Yet, by season 2, it's like the writers got amnesia and totally overhauled the theme of the program, and it ended up being this benevolent version of THE WALKING DEAD!

Instead of letting the returned be a small, select group, part of a divinely chosen family or something, instead of letting Jacob be a messenger, they just gave us this massive returnee epidemic with no real explanation afterwards? What a crappy thing to do to such a beautiful show!! The writers should be ashamed!

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

Far too many shows are ruined when the writers focus on "people" and "relationships".

When I hear a "show runner", actor, or writer say "it's really about people", or "it's about relationships", I know the show is going to deviate from the original premise and go downhill in a hurry.

Happens every time, it seems.

I gave season 1 an 8. But season 2 id give a 6, the writing was all over the place. Although I did enjoy the series finale. Id give that an 8. Overall the show is a 7

This show was so good in Season 1 and decent enough to stay on more seasons but I agree the writers messed up a lot and that's what cost them.
