Is it odd that Omar Epps is the only black guy on this show

It is weird enough watching it ... except for the lady in the City Hall or wherever it was
OE is the only black within miles of this town.

So, in filming this series, is it the same thing? All the people in the cast and only him as
a black guy in the south. It's a weird dynamic, but does it have anything to do with the
story?

In answer to your question, no, it's not weird. There are parts of the US where the majority of the population is white, just like there are parts of the US where the majority of the population are people of color. What's weird about it is that whenever the majority is people of color, nobody questions it, but whenever the majority is white people, everyone is suddenly bothered. But, again, it's not weird.

As far as whether or not it has something to do with the story, I'm not sure. I do seem to remember flashbacks in season two, implying racial tensions of some sort. I hated season two compared to season one. It's so tragic that the show went off course. Season one started out like a beautiful rain shower, and season two turned into a nasty storm. It completely lost its way, which is why it was canceled.

I just wish Netflix would start over, and pretend like season two doesn't even exist, and pick up from season one again – making their own version of season two. The show deserved so much better! Still one of my favorites.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!
