This is good stuff.

Streaming this right now for the first time in a few years, i still love it, it's entertaining, i don't know why it got low ratings which ultimately led to its cancellation, was the show not gory enough for American Audiences?!

U.S viewers are fickle, they have so much to choose from, that's the problem, if this was the only drama series on the air i doubt it would get cancelled.

The plot ISN'T stupid! The storyline became bigger that's all, it made sense, i don't see the problem.

Maybe they were never going to make a series 2 anyway, who knows, but people sure do hate on this show, i don't know why, the performances were well-done, the long necked giraffe looking black colonel / general was okay in his role, people on this board said he was bland, the thing is the actor did what he could with the role, he's supposed to be subtle because audiences are not meant to know at first whether he's the good guy or bad guy, and when it comes to bad guys in TV Dramas they're not always out there in your face vile and aggressive

Hostages is great in my opinion, it keeps viewers wanting to know what happens next. Don't tell me that you hate this show when you still stream it.

I highly recommend the Israeli original (also called Hostages). It is available on Netflix. It's the same story but with enough small differences to make it worthwhile. I think the ending is better too. And there is a second season.
