What I learned from Independence Daysaster

1) In order to power any device, just hold a glowing radioactive canister near it and electronics will automatically power up without any rewiring needed.

2) The aliens from Battleship have learned their lesson and resorted to flying instead of floating on the ocean.

3) Every country farm boy has state of the art electronics in their shed.

4) It's so easy to hack into the government systems that a 15 year old girl can do it.

5) Even though the president gave a direct order, as long as he's not in the room, it counts as him being incapacitated so the VP can take over.

6) If you're the president and you finally get in touch with your cabinet members, don't tell them your address nor ask for theirs because you really don't want to meet up with them.

7) Sci-fi actually plays a decent movie every so often.

9) A "normal" ICBM (nominal ballistic range of 3000 miles) can at a moments notice reach out into space, let us say half way to the Moon or 140k miles, with little issue. And do not get me started on targeting... Geo-coordinates vs x-y-z targeting in open space.
