Too much law

I didn't realize this was going to deal with the law as much as it did. I missed when I was supposed to be moved. Disappointed.

In order to understand the tribulation Mary was going through, knowledge of that particular law had to be presented. Eminent Domain is the government laying claim to personal property. Mary did not want that house taken away and knew she would be totally powerless against the government.

It was also nice to know about Privately Owned National Landmarks with Rick pushing the issues for profit. Ashleigh blogging this was okay.

What didn't make sense was the Rick/Ashleigh conniving legalize stuff that didn't lead anywhere. They should have just shown Rick/Ashleigh personally joining forces to just go on the cruise together. Instead, we got them mentioning accountants and what they will talk about on the cruise.

The one legal thing I do have is Quincy, the mail clerk. I'm sure the USPS would love to have a little chat about using his job for personal gain. BTW, that was an awfully small post office for a city as large as Plymouth. Oh, well, both have to be placed in the category of 'Suspension of Disbelief'.

Prepare for more legalize if there is a sequel. Believe it or not, that unopened letter is a blessing. That letter is the property of Everett Mathers and the USPS would have a big problem with someone else saying they have a right to open it including other government agencies. The letter could only be opened if it pertained to national security or violated their laws.
