Danced at the end! Did anyone else cringe? So awkward, so twee. Oh well, I'm sure it was a challenge how to end this film. Do the gardeners head off into the sunset, happily ever after? Too cliche.

shareLoved the ending. I found it charming and moving. The movie was a bit of a long slog, but the last 20 minutes were wonderful. I guess you didn't pass your Twee 101 Class?
shareI think the dancing was necessary. When Madame De Barra first viewed the plans in the garden with la norte and he walked out and said the orchestra will be here, her insight was the it would be an "outdoor ballroom". So it was at the end.
