My God did I hate Christy

It has been a while since I've wanted a horror movie character to die so badly. Why would they write her that way? We're supposed to be rooting for the main characters, not wishing death upon them.

Revenge is the most important meal of the day.

Exactly thank you! She was the absolute worst. I felt a bit sorry for Will though he really should of drank the water when the sprinklers came on. Actually out of the main characters he was the only one I didn't want to kill.

I loved her

She was probably written that way. She was supposed to be the one that you hated for doing stupid things. Well I mean almost everyone in horror films does stupid things.

I think it was a good decision to write her this way, it makes the group feel noticeably diverse when you have someone who plays the part of the unrepentant coward. While it's nice to have characters you root for, it's also nice to have one or two characters who make bad choices when the chips are down (is that the phrase? I'm actually not sure). I feel that Will, Antonio and the second female character (forgot her name) actually have very similar personalities to be honest, Christy's personality REALLY stood out.

The only thing I would've changed was at the end when she tells Will to support her story, being scared and making bad choices when things are bad is one thing but this was just her being a bad person.

She was actually my favourite character. She was the most rational one, she did what she had to do in order to survive. Nothing bad in that. She grew a lot throughout the movie too,no way I would have taken her for a badass in the beginning.

Lol, I don't think we saw the same movie. If you have the chance to save your friend at the risk of your own life, you're a hero. If you don't even try out of selfishness, you're a coward.

Revenge is the most important meal of the day.

She was my fav. character. Actually. She was a pure selfish bitch, and I loved her for it. She made some of the most interestin choices and made the film FAR more interesting due to her selfishness. Plus, I like that her bitchery actually makes sense. It's not like she's some wonky caricature who only exists to cause problems for no real reason.

Wasn't too sorry for her when she died. Im shocked she and will didn't think to drink the sprinkler water at the end though. Felt like a convoluted way to kill everyone

This movie brings up an interesting dynamic with moral choices. Zombie movies always have that moment of not killing a zombie because they are a husk of a person you loved. With them being able to come back twists that. Do you kill your friend for a chance of survival or wait it out and hope for the best. Because Christy is a terrible human being she makes the selfish choices. You can't bring up this moral conundrum without having the selfish bitch element. That's why how she dies at the end is a wonderful piece of poetic justice. There is no trust.
