This isn't the first time a movie plot has been people turning into alligators. Lon Chaney Jr. was in a movie called The Alligator People, which has a similar premise to the re-booted spider man. Animal genetics is used to repair humans and the humans became the animals. The Alligator People is a better movie in my opinion, because it has a plausible plot. This movie too, lives up to it's imagination. Toxic chemicals mutating cells, and the leap of faith that alligator traits are passed on through a bite, saliva mixing with blood (attack of the circulatory system). Furthermore, if you enjoy vampire movies, well, there you have it. The only flaw is the baby. Since I missed most of the story, I presumed that the cop and the daughter were lovers and she got pregnant. Not that she had sex with a gator. But they didn't show the baby, so who knows, lol.
I grew up with Godzilla. There will always be a place in my heart for B movies.
Edit-I saw some of the baby, and it looked human. Time will tell....

My Good Friend, I too like B movies but that is not what this is. This is deliberate crap. They can do better and indeed showing The Alligator People would have been a vast improvement.
