Pablo is the Master

LOL, I hurt myself laughing. This is a fun story, smartly cast and performed to perfection. The tone is comedic romp. It's got a sweet honesty about it.

And, someone needs to write a vehicle which exploits Pablo's magnetism. He's already built an impressive body of work which shows his versatility, range and depth. But, heat... just sayin' 🌋

Yes, agreed, 100%.

I liked the movie but (as usual) Pablo's performance out-shined everyone else's. I have never seen an actor with his, as you so accurately put it, versatility, range and depth. He never does the same type of role twice, but he gives himself to every role 110% no matter how big or small.

Pablo is so underrated and because his career is based more on artistic integrity rather than money and popularity, I fear that he will never get the recognition he deserves. He needs more big roles!!!

He stole the show. The man's acting is riveting.

I'd like to see him in a hit romantic lead role. This may seem a strange pairing, but he and Lindsay Lohan would be electric. I say this because of her performance in Georgia Rule. The same complexity, subtlety and heart that Pablo brings, I think she can match in a unique way.

Who would you pair him with?

I have never cared for romantic movies so I really have no one in mind I would want to pair him with. But just the same I'd probably grit my teeth and go see him as the romantic lead in a movie purely because it's him hahaha

Personally I'd like to see him in more straight comedy roles, although his best work seems to be in more emotionally driven dramatic roles. I wouldn't mind seeing him cast as a superhero either.

He is exceptionally convincing when he plays villainous roles, but I know that he said he was going to give the "bad guy" roles a break for a little while. Last October I saw the movie "No Good Deed" in theatres and I easily imagined him as Idris Elba's character.

Even though he's very handsome and still young, I'm hoping that he continues to duck playing the "token hot, dumb guy". As long as he steers clear of that type of role, I will be (and have been) happy with any type of character he portrays.

After thought: Do you think he'd do well playing the lead in a period piece?

reply

As a romantic lead, I was thinking along the lines of Dracula and how he loves. I love Gerard Butler and I loved Dracula 2000 but it was a flawed film. The back-story it offers for Dracula is the reason why Pablo could sink his teeth into that role. LOL, yeah, I went there.

I immediately pictured Jekyll and Hyde in Mary Reilly. LOL Dark, tormented and hot.

I'd rather see him portray Nostradamus than a king. No Heathcliff or Darcy, for Pablo. He's more Che Guevera.

For a gay role, I'd like to see him play W. H. Auden.

Peter O'Toole's role in The Ruling Class. I think Pablo can pull off satire.

He'd make a great gangster, Bonnie and Clyde... he would reinvent Clyde!

I can also picture him in Errol Flynn's swashbuckling roles.

And, when he's a little older, I'd love to see him take on a polished character, suave and debonair, like Cary Grant's role in To Catch a Thief.

There's something sweeping and epic about Pablo.

He's the new John Wayne.

Wake up, Sweetie... this thread is about an actor named Pablo and not about a fictional character.
