Where the *beep* do you get off?

I think it's great and all that you found recovery in an abstinence only way.
But that's for YOU.
Some of us couldn't stay clean that way. Not for a week.
Why are you on some crusade against methadone when you are nobody but a recovering junkie with anecdotal stories including your own, with zero medical training.

You're like a kid who grew up in a family that never went to church and found out as an adult that you believed in god and church and became some zealot who preaches to people walking by how they MUST be saved.

What you fail to see is that your own addiction has been traded for your "program" and this crusade to help millions upon millions of people the ONE way that worked for you.

I have an idea. Quit trying to save the world. It isn't your place to tell people how they will recover and it's clear that someone got it into your head that medically assisted treatment isn't 'real recovery'.

Well it is for me you son of a bitch, and has been for nearly a decade. I take it very personally when someone uses fame to influence *beep* they have no professional knowledge of.

Piss off, Russell.

He's right though. The only success I've ever seen from an addict is abstinence in a 12 Step program. If the goal is being free from addiction, all substances must be ceased.

You sound a little defensive.
