Yeah but...


Considering this is only Kemps second directed feature it does show a degree of talent. The failings in my eye come from a slightly pedestrian script, a meandering pace that allows things to go off the boil and a couple of ropey casting choices (how bad was the wife who had the baby!!!). Gregory is superb as usual and wrings out every drop of emotion from his scenes, hes not afraid to invest the character with self-doubt, waryness and confusion where as some lesser actor would have given a flat, ERE LETS AVE SOME! cockney wideboy performance (yes Im looking at you Danny Dyer).
