They were supposed to be high school girls?

I guess they were cast like a CW teen drama with actors obviously in their late 20s cast as teens.

They were not portrayed as high-school teens. Nell (Page) was a pre-med candidate and Eva (Wood) was almost too old to join a dancing company. So, I'd say Nell was 21-22 and Eva a couple of years older. The actors are still older than the characters, but not unrealistically so.

I thought she said she was taking her SATs?

She did.

Every person that served can be called a veteran, but not every veteran can be called a Marine.

The material she was studying was not on any SAT I've seen. Pretty sure she was studying for the MCAT.

Movies are IQ tests; the IMDB boards are how people broadcast their score.

That may be so but she specifically stated that she was studying for the SAT.

Come here. No, really, come here. Come here.

Yes she was studying for her SATs. They did say that in the movie. So she would've been about 17-18. I think Eva was maybe a few years older, 19-20 maybe, although they didn't really say.

Yeah I wondered the same thing - I was guessing Ellen Page was playing a senior at high school so about ten years older than her character.
