Not a bad film by any means. (Spoilers)

Watched this in memory of Robin Williams and without knowing anything of the movie, I began watching and the story became very interesting but that one character he was seeing, i.e., Leo. I had thought he was seeing him as the son he never had and wanted to make up for it by giving this young guy a better life but in the end, Nolan (Robin Williams) admitted he was gay and now it makes sense why he slept in separate beds from his wife.

Not really a confusing storyline but it was misguided (at least to me) to believe the viewer Nolan wanted a son than a boyfriend. Yeah, it was strange that Leo got completely naked and Nolan was OK with it but it's nature to be naked anyway.

EDIT: If I had read the plot I would have known it'd be about a gay guy but I like going into a movie without knowing too much so it doesn't spoil the fun.

I think the film could have worked that way too, to be Honest. I'm watching it now and even without the gay storyline (which I didn't mind) it could have worked just as well with a subplot of joy and Nolan could never have kids, that's why they're distant and Nolan meets this guy he takes under his wing and treats as a son.
