i hope they release it in the US.

That would be great if they did, although the U.S. is pretty uptight about sexual content in movies (especially when it includes minors, even though in many states 16 is legal consent age, with adults). Behead people, cut them in half, blow things up, not a problem but not SEX (and kinky sex at that)!!! Oh my, whatever shall we do???

I remember when Basic Instinct was released what the uproar was about. It wasn't the violence deaths by ice pick but oh my, Sharon Stone wore no panties and wasn't ashamed to show that and the graphic sex.

THIS movie looks very stylish and well-put together and I do hope to see it.

Yes and thre best part is if they don't release it here or they release a watered down version of it. We should be able to get the real thing on Amazon UK or through another website that sells international movies.

yeah, while unfortunately about 90% of Americans have no problem with nudity or sex in movies (actually that's a huge exaggeration for most of the country, but here in the NYC area that seems about right), most more offended by violence, but it's that loud far-right (usually Christian) 10% that is louder, pushier, and more obnoxious than the other 90% and then some.
I don't know what fuels that, I'm sure it's some deep insecurities or something carved into their brain beginning at a very young age, since all mammals, including humans, are wired to desire sex, not freak out at the thought of it or even a view of skin haha! think about how crazy that is for a second, that scary reaction to anything sexual by religious nutters, no matter what religion it is. Anyway what were we talking about? lol

You had to go back to 1992 to find an bad example. And even in that case there were the same issues in foreign markets.

No one is stopping you in the US from watching what you want. And it is the porn capital of the world, genius.

I've seen the movie and there really is nothing to tone down or censor because there simply is no nudity or any explicit scenes for that matter. Béart wears latex outfits in some short scenes but basically all those outfits can be seen in the trailer already. The movie has a depressing tone and is far from erotic in my opinion. It's more about the non-sexual relationship between two troubled individuals. If you expect kinkyness or sex scenes, you will be disappointed and probably bored. The poster and trailer give a wrong impression of what to expect. I watched it because I think Béart is a terrific actress but she didn't shine in this one.

When watching the trailer, i actually expected a movie more in the line of the French movie Maitresse.
There are also some similarities in My Mistress, who can make you think that it must be based on Maitresse, but compaired next to each other, then My Mistress has been seriously toned down on the kinkyness.
