Swedish Intriguish

Tommy and Tuppence for sure. This series very much reminds me of Agatha Christie genre but transposed into a minimalist landscape, is it deliberate pastiche? (in last episode Eje kicks the furniture in anger because ... well it seems that everywhere they go there's another murder ... and his wife - the thoughtful and observant Puck - obviously thrives on it.
Wonderful art style in these films, the stripped down, wintery look and beautiful scenery, top class photography, yes the fifties nostalgia and the 'drawing room' deneumon.

The casting is intriguing, faces seem to be moulded out of the landscape. I very much approve two of the three main actors (big of me I know) but find that Puck's husband gets a wee bit washed out in some episodes.

I have enjoyed this series... Yes - it's slow and old-fashioned. But, it's entertaining, I've very much warmed to the three main characters and the period detail is quite delicious... As you said, den09, Eje - played by the gorgeous Linus Wahlgren - could have been given a bit more to do, as, after the first episode, he did rather get pushed into the background, as Christer and Puck solved the crimes between themselves... I don't know if we'll be getting any more of these... It seems Maria Lang wrote plenty of other books. But, a quick bit of research hasn't revealed if any more concern Puck, Eje and Christer... I'd happily watch more episodes.

I love the show, and I really liked the interaction between Puck and Eje in this episode. Her jealousy was quite charming in a way, and the acting was great.
