This TV series was/is more promising than most other sci-fi shows currently run.

If you have then I'd have thought you'd completely understand why they cancelled it. Season 1 was great - it was a mystery what was going on and then it was a series of moral dilemmas. The trouble is that at the end of Season 1 they had pretty much tied everything up and all you were left with was a kind of post apocalyptic survival thing, and there's already plenty of those on TV.
If they cancel it, maybe we get a 2 hour long MOVIE.
Just like Serenity.
I love Sci-Fi TV Shows, but Firefly I could never get into. I've tried several times to watch it, and the movie Serenity; I just don't like this program. I'm guessing this program was made for a small select few.

I didn't care for Firefly, either. It just struck me as too juvenile. Whedon got away with juvenile characters when he made Buffy since those characters WERE juveniles; it was appropriate. I think if I had been under 18 when I watched Firefly I might have like it more.
