Karl was the funniest and most likable character on the show. Without him I've lost interest. Bring back karl for season 3.

I too enjoy Karl though, especially when he's telling someone off.
Karl was a surprisingly good actor but apparently he was uncomfortable with the whole acting thing and left. There's a funny interview on the DVD with Karl & Ricky & Kerry Godliman where Karl is complaining about various things and Ricky & Kerry are basically saying "umm, well that's acting".......
shareI never bought the whole uncomfortable with acting thing...at least as a reason for leaving Derek. Ricky, Steve and Karl seem to have no involvement with each other's projects anymore, to the point of Ricky making a David Brent movie without Steve. Karl did Moaning of Life without either of them, and I refuse to believe he can make several series of shows where the whole aim is to embarrass and stress him out, but he can't handle saying a few lines on his friend's TV show. They've all clearly had at least a professional falling out if not a personal one.
