seems like tyler wants a whiter audience

there were more white actors in the movie than black folks.

also most of the white characters were kind and sympathetic.

Maybe he just wants a wider not just a whiter audience.

You're saying he wants the fat redneck audience?

I think Tyler just wanted to try something different. I did not get the impression that he wants a white audience

I think Tyler just wants an audience. Believe it or not a 50/50 black and white cast has been done numerous times and has garnered an equal amount of respect from all demographics. (I.E. Scandal)

He's just doing what every other big TV show and movie is doing right now... Mixing it up.

Tyler Perry certainly doesn't need to attract a white audience. He's proven that he can make his own kind of films without them. However, it's nice that he's making an effort to be a little more "all inclusive." While most of the white characters in this film were stereotypical (well meaning but inevitabe country bumpkins) I'd say he made a decent effort.
