Inferior Copy of Matando Cabos

I watched this film at the Latino Film Festival in Chicago today. I don't understand why it was made. It adds nothing to the the vision of Matando Cabos, the original film from Mexico. The corrupt lawyer character replaces the original's Mexican wrestler and cannibal characters, but adds nothing in terms of humor or story. Is this remake just to make the plot more palatable to non-Mexican audiences? I should think a remake would be farther away from the original in terms of time, and would at least have something new to say. Oh well.
