Question on Episode 6: Running Mans

Halfway through the episode when Sam is driving to Lizzie, he throws a piece of paper out of the car. What is the significance of this?

I thought it was the documents, and that proved to be false. So, I'm in the same boat. Some clarification would be much obliged.

Wasn't it the brown paper bag he chucked out?

I believe it was good wrappers.

It's the bag he used to control is breath, throwing it away means that he has become more fearless I think ;)
