I thought that this was supposed to be a comedy.

I've watched 2 episodes and haven't laughed once.

The poo bag made me smile but smiles don't count. You get more belly laughs from watching Pointless, and that's a quiz show!

5/10

This is not just a comedy show it's an action comedy show. If you want a comedy show go watch Blackadder or Allo Allo.

Are you serious? Neither of those are funny - particularly Allo Allo.

reply

So what is funny in your book? Because I am absolutely loving this series of The Wrong Mans - clever writing, good plot with decent twists. Nice camera work and post production work - quite movie-esque shots for a TV series. Well directed. And funny! Not in a side-splitting obvious 'here-it-comes' joke way, although episode two had me in stitches at one stage, but more in a situational way. But then I can't stand programmes such as Mrs Brown's Boys and that other naff piece of 'comedy' - Father Figure - where the laughs are practically shoved down your throat via bad acting and cheap production values.

More like The Wrong Mans please!

reply

Maybe the original poster likes shows like Glee? Because the Wrong Mans is awesome!

reply

Awesome means struck with reverential fear.

That's a partial definition, you might try looking up the full one.

Are you retarded? You aren't even saying personally YOU don't find blackadder funny. You genuinely think its technically not funny.

reply

Did you really just say Blackadder isn't funny? Pretty innovative way of losing all credibility on IMDB forever. You need to leave.

reply

Are you saying that you lose credibility on imdb for having an opinion? Well done, you have just lost your credibility

And the sign said long haired freaky people need not apply

reply

Pretending Blackadder isn't funny is not an opinion. You have no credibility to claim I have lost credibility. You are banished.

Indeed.

Gitch28 is correct here. I've personally never seen Blackadder but i'm smart enough to know it's one of the greatest comedies in british television history and that no one should openly bash it on IMDB w/ out being blacklisted.

reply

My first reaction was to tell the OP to watch The Three Stooges, but to be fair, Blackadder is not for everyone. It is too much witty "British humor" for some. It takes an intelligent mind to appreciate the writing.

That does not mean people who do not like the show are not intelligent; it means that non-intelligent people are less likely to enjoy the show.

I suspect The Wrong Mans has a similar following.

For something a bit less British, I would suggest Brooklyn 99.

reply

Brooklyn 99 is something I turn on when I'm doing something else like: taxes, bills, reading articles, doing the dishes etc...

It's a cute and funny show. Absolutely average in pretty much every way possible.

Wrong Mans - I'm stuck to my seat watching on the big screen and nothing else better get in my way.

reply

Guess some people don't understand that not everybody likes everything. It's a shame that in a world like the one we live in, having an opinion that's different from the one that the masses has is a crime.

reply

Please *beep* off with your opinions.

reply

Then you ought to be looking up stuff that suits your garbage sense of humour.

Yeah I'm humble. Of course I'm humble. I'm the best at being humble.

reply

It is a comedy there is alot of funny moments in it.

reply

Crikey, that bag scene was the weakest one so far ... different takes on humour, I suppose. I have found the series immensely entertaining so far. If they stick to one series of 6 episodes, this will be an all time classic production ...

reply

Its not laugh out loud but its good enough and it mixes action, suspense and comedy.

Its that man again!!

reply

in other words you don't like anything that makes you think, got it

reply

We'll you must be fun to go out with. I'll bet you have a great sense of humor.

Boring

reply

Feline might wait for the DVD. There's a laugh-track in the extras. Put it on and all the funny bits will be more obvious...

reply

There's a laugh-track in the extras.

You are kidding right? The best British shows don't have them, this takes away from the series a bit for me. Laugh-tracks are pure evil.

As for the show it is funny I think, but Black Adder, I really liked, had some good jokes in it, but it is in no way high or witty humor.

reply

It's optional and it was put in as an ironic joke. You turn it on for your idiot friends who aren't smart enough to know when to laugh.

It's not like you are forced to watch it with it on.

Personally it just depends on what kind of a mood I'm in. I love shows without a laugh track, they usually have deeper more meaningful punch lines.

On the other hand sometimes you are in the mood to watch with a group but don't have one, it can be funny to hear other people laugh along with you.

Natural laugh tracks are the best; which is something you don't really see anymore with modern shows. Ever watch "threes company"? It was filmed on a stage with a live studio audience. The laugh track is the actual audience who is watching the show. Legit laughter resulting from the performance and not some studio editors opinion of where the laughs should be. Those are still enjoyable, but mostly gone from modern TV

It's not a comedy, but an action comedy.

Keep up !

reply

Yes, action comedy. The British sometimes have a rather quirky sense of humour. I see it as comedy in the same way that Stag was comedy - in a darker way. Some people don't get British humour. I think it's brilliant!
