This is bad...

...really bad.

The handshake scene made me laugh, but the rest was pretty bad.

Agreed. Pretty bad when the laugh track is so predominantly wrong too, it just wasn't that funny.

reply

Just to make a correction . Spun Out was filmed in front of a live audience. The laughs were real.

reply

Uh, I think you might work in sound, but that's not exactly how it works with taping in front of a live audience. They can actually amplify, duck out, directional mics, etc, all laughter. The live audience only gives them a thermometer, but they can put laughs in any where they want. This show is pretty bad. The two leads, dumb ass and blondy, are very poor actors/comedic actors. We need to connect with them, but all are just playing for a laugh, and none are really funny, except of course, Dave Foley - and he has been given some terrible dialogue.

It's amazing how much I agree with you.

Really REALLY bad?

reply

Sorry but I liked it ! I thought it had that " Newsradio" rythmn.

reply

Strange I also felt a News Radio vibe but I thought it was trying to be News Radio but couldn't quite achieve it.

I did not like this show much but definitely didn't hate it either. I must be the only person here who is still on the fence.

It is hard to judge a show on just the two first episodes when maybe it is still figuring things out so I will keep hope alive and see what happens in the next few weeks.

reply

Terrible! I'm emberassed for them as its NOT funny and you can tell which actors are not trained!!

It does to sitcoms what Remedy did to medical drama.
