Watched this crap for 5 minutes and thought it must be Canadian. Guess what, I was right! I have a 6th sense for this kind of thing, and yes, I am Canadian.
shareYep. This is bad and Canadian TV (on the scripted side) is almost always horrible.But, if you speak French, you should know that that side of the country actually makes some great shows. You really should check out Les invincibles or Minuit le soir. The level of writing on these is just great. It really matches the best of what the US does. Canadian English language TV always looks and feels like a bad copy of American shows. Either that or it knocks you over the head with the fact that it's CANADIAN all the time. Quebec shows don't feel the need to tell you they're Canadian, they just tell stories, which is the whole point really.
shareAs an extra, I would like to get on it but I agree. Most Canadian series are garbage, not all. Reign is one of the garbage series, but the respect you get on set is great.
I live out side of Toronto and get calls to get on TV.
The best series to date was Hannibal, been on it.
